Learn to Skate
*** Please register at the Admissions Counter in the rink before the first day of class***
Format: Learn-To-Skate sessions run for 7 weeks. 40 minute
classes are held once per week and include 30 minutes of lesson time and
10 minutes of practice time. Please Note: 1st time LTS students should
sign up for Basic 1, or Snowplow Sam 1 dependant on age. See inside for
details.
1st Day Procedure: Skaters should arrive at 15 minutes prior to their scheduled class time, allowing sufficient time for preparation.
Equipment: You may rent figure or hockey skates at our Admissions counter for $2.00.
Attire: Comfortable, flexible, and warm clothing, including hats and gloves or mittens, are recommended for all skaters. No snowpants. No hockey skates for Snowplow 1.
Class Descriptions:
Snowplow 1-3: These are entry level classes for children ages 3-5.
Basic 1-8: Classes are designed for skaters 6 and up.
Hockey 1-4: Classes are designed for skaters who are interested in Hockey. You need to pass Basic 1 before entering Hockey 1.
Adult: Classes are designed for adults who are interested in learning how to skate.
Free Skate: Classes are designed for skaters who have passed Basic 8.
